About Hilton Head Golfing

Hilton Head Island is located at the Southernmost tip of South Carolina, (just 20 miles North of Savannah, Georgia). As expected, Hilton Head Island is one of the most popular golf destinations in the United States. Hilton Head's real appeal, outside of being an island, is the excellent year-round weather; its top quality resort and hotel accommodations; its abundance of exceptionally maintained world-caliber golf courses.

The Lowcountry offers a vast variety of golf courses, over 25, that are all within a short-drive from any of the popular resort facilities or hotels on the island. Hilton Head Island is also the well-known host to the MCI Heritage Golf Classic, which has been played at the same venue (Sea Pine's Harbourtown Golf Links) since its inception the late 1960's.

This is a beautiful island. Many of these golf courses are included in the World's top 100, as well as, America's top 100 resort and public courses.

The Hilton Head Island and its surrounding area is definitely a "must visit" for any avid golf traveler who is looking for very high quality, a lot of variety, and a very memorable golf experience.
